I can't decide what to get, they both seem great in different areas - what would be your pick and why?

dragon age is the better game. borderlands just looks bland.

lol, youve played both? no? guess that settles that matter.
I just pre-ordered both. If I was to choose though, then it will be Dragon Age. But I think they can't be compared, too different. I love both premises, both themes, and I'm sure it will be a joy to play both. If you by chance have played Dragon Age too much and want a change of pace, Borderlands is different enough (and yet as good as -- at least it looks like it is, can be worse but can even be better, who knows?), and vice-versa...
Im buying both..How ever i chose dragon age origins..Even though ill have fun with borderlands..Dragon age for my love of rpgs..It all depends bro. do you love shooters more or rgs..Myself i can get into both..Just bought on steam today crysis warhead..Also picked up torchlight..
Both games are quite different. I guess it would depend on what you prefer to play. Dragon Age is more your traditional style RPG probably with a deeper storyline and more likely better single player play.
Borderlands more FPS than RPG. Seems to rely more heavily on multiplayer co-op play than single player. I'm sure the storyline won't be as deep.
So basically I'm saying is if you prefer RPG's over FPS's then go with Dragon Age or if it's vice versa go with Boderlands.

I pre-bought both games... also planning on getting "Torchlight" it looks like my kinda game.
i depends if you are more in to medival fantasy rpgs or post apocalyptic atmosphere... personaly i would pick both xD Bioware is always coming out with something well polished so even if you are not really sure, you can't loose on this deal. As for Borderlands, well it's promissing but will it really be as cool as it looks like? it's hard to say...

\Steam has it on sale also for 17.99..Great deal if you ask me..Not sure why they would charge so little fora fun game..Maybe there trying to establish them selfs who knows..ILl give it a shot though..
It depends on what kind of game you like to play.
Dragon Age will offer a deeper story-driven role playing experience.
Borderlands is a bit more like Diablo with guns, with lots of loot and co-op play integrated.
Dragon Age: Is an RPG that focuses on storyline, character development and choices and consequences. Please note that DA is a CRPG, it is supposed to resemble old classic crpgs like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment and Fallout. If you did not enjoy them then think before you buy
Borderlands: Is an action oriented RPG probably little to no choices. (like Diablo)
Depends entirely on your choice.
After seeing more videos of Dragon age...it looks amazing =). I think I'll buy that first, then possibly borderlands after some reviews. It depends on what kind of game you like to play.

Dragon Age man! I'm soo looking forward to it and I'm also getting my Ati 5770 for it cause I know my 8800gt cant handle the min specs said a GTS version of it lol.Hekynn
The min specs are only a 6600Gt.....
Dragon Age is shaping up nicely. They both have Quicklooks at GiantBomb which are little gameplay videos with commentary.

Yes, I saw those. I picked up a definite NWN vibe from the Dragon Age gameplay that was shown, which is a good thing. I'm much more interested in the game after that, but I could also see a few of the NWN glitches cropping up, like enemies attacking through wooden doors that had just been opened. A small thing, but I remember it from NWN 1.
Anyway, looks like I'll be buying Dragon Age at some point.

Got a 10% discount on Borderlands, and $15.00 off on Dragon Age.
i prepurchased both on steam but dragon age is clearly the one i want most as a baldur's gate fan, dragon age really got me excited especially with the social network and toolset. i like every single thing i've read/seen about dragon age, it may be my best game of all timeKaeladar
I'm getting both retail, bit upset about Steam at the moment. Did a game backup, reinstalled Windows, and even when putting the backup on, it downloaded something like 30Gb worth of data. So for some reason when creating the backups, it doesn't save every piece of data.

sorry to hear that i upgraded from windows XP to windows 7 recently and i didnt do any steam backup. i just kept the steam folder on another partition. when i finished installing windows 7, i reinstalled steam in the same folder and i had all the games and saves maybe you've been unlucky for me steam is convenient and i havent had any problem yet. i hate having DVD boxes everywhere in my room and steam is the digital distribution service with the best support for europe it seemsI was really interested in DA, but the more I watch and read about the game the faster I lose hope. I know Borderlands will be better.dont-read-thisThe more I watched Dragon Age, the more I liked it. :| Mordecai is for-ever!
It needs an 8800gt to max it out, actually I doubt it needs that but some reviewer said thats what bioware had in their demo systems. It doesn't need a quad core either.has anyone seen the system requirements for dragon age? omg it needs a quad core processor and 8800gtx geeeez and lack of co-op makes me sad :( will go with borderlands so i can play with my friends
