Dragon Age Origins: Wynne Blood Mage HOW?

I've read many different points of view on how to unlock the blood mage specialty but tonight I'm finding more specific answers that are unconfirmed but hopeless sounding :-(

I'm playing as a rogue. Is it true there is no way I can unlock this specialization for Wynne?

One thing I've read about how to do it is to PLAY AS A MAGE??? (Then if you ever play DAO again, it will be unlocked for any character?) and at Redcliff, make a deal with the demon that it can haunt the boy again later.

I don't want to let it haunt the kid again, but I will if I have to. (Yes/No)

I don't want to kill Isolde, but I will if I have to (I'd offer the same in her shoes for my girl) (Yes/No)

This won't work if I send Wynne (or preferably Irving?) into the fade. It must be me and ONLY if I am a mage (Yes/No)

IS this really the ONLY place in the game to unlock this specialization? I read a spirit will let you in the Brecillian Woods but I'm willing to bet this was a cock up with the Arcane Warrior specialization instead.

and if no one hear knows, what's a good forum to put this on? I don't want to get too far ahead of this.

Either get a mod... or.. Make a new character (mage) and make him learn blood magic. Then you can teach it in other games also.

Yes you have to be a mage to unlock it.

You don't have to kill anyone, you can save the boy and still get it. When i played it, all you had to do wassave it before you battled the demon, then let her reside in the boy which unlocks blood magic, then load your previous save back up and blood magic was still unlocked.

they do a fine job in DA:O with locking Blood Mage specialization; as it's some very sensitive thing, you shouldn't be able to just learn it from a tome you can buy in a shop!

however, you can unlock it outside of the whole redcliff thing. you can get it from the unrest of Alienage part of the story.

and of course, you need to be a mage...why would a warrior or rogue be able to become a blood mage anyway? at very least you need to dual class first...

BUT, they simply screw it with the exapansion...you can actually buy a blood mage tome and unlock it for both the Origins and the Awakening!

I don't want to have to wait for Awakening. I want to get it for Wynne right now. I agree it's a good idea to make it not easy to come by and that you need to really do something evil to get to be evil.

The reason why I want it when I am not a mage is for Wynne.

OK... so can someone point me to a mod that either unlocks or allows a rogue to unlock it the same way a mage would (for Wynne and possibly Morrigan?). It makes sense for Morrigan to be a blood mage, but I imagine it would work better with Wynee... unlimited mana/health basically/ right?

I have not used this mod but some people say it will allow you to unlock specialization

I'm getting greedy now though. My character is a bard/assassin rogue. Bard was a dumbass choice and I want to swap it for one of the others. Console should have let me do this but I can't get it to work. I've edited the keybindings to say tilde where it once said grave (as per instructions) and all, but when I press tilde, the screen freezes (as apparently it should) but no letters show up when I type (which they should then show up). Nothing happens. Console broke :-(

The console do work... Its just that the devs have made the text transparent for when the game got released.
