i got the game and downloaded patch 1.04. i decided that i would for the 1st time in a fantasy RPG game create a dwarf character. so i thought nothing is cooler for a dwarf than having a giant 2H weapon. anyway i went berserker and as soon as i got it, i been pissed. you see the beserker buff deactivate for me every time i loot, open a menu, get into a conversation and sometimes for reasons i dont know. and this is the only activation spell that has the problem. the tank's buffs are fine, the mage, bard and rogues buffs are all fine. it is just annoying that the Specializations you have worked toward it, to be ruined for you when you finally get it. and in this case the berserker buff is the berserkerSpecializations. some may say just activate it again, well it pisses me off to wait 20-30 sec for the cooldown before going to the next battle.

anyway, is there a fix for this? i like the game very much but this just left a bad experience about Dragon Age in me.

or is this how the berserker buff works? who am i kidding this must be a bug. i have loaded the game, reseted the game and the same thing goes again.

i have played the game for about 12 hours and i dont want to start again. so please if you have an idea toss it here.

thank you

I think it's by design. Your character's worked themselves into a berserker frenzy. If they want to loot or talk or whatever they can't be all berserk like that. "Only half-sane when in the grip of frenzy, a Berserker can become a juggernaut of death and damage, although the bloodlust is difficult to sustain."

well i can see the conversations, but looting? checking the inventory for a sec? and then the buff deactivate and i have to wait for 20-30 sec for activating it? sometimes it happens in combat which really pisses me off.

The buff doesn't stay activated outside of combat I think.

This is it, I believe.
I recently played a berserker myself and I remember berserk would deactivate when out of combat, or if there were no enemies around.

I believe berserk will also deactivate if your stamina runs too low, but I'm not too familiar with how Berserkers play (I've only had a berserker character once and I never use Oghren) so I could be wrong, but I know it's definitely not a bug or a glitch.

I can comfirm this

Usually before a boss fight / fight event where there is a conversation or roleplaying involved i prebuff and prepot my characters.. Yet with the berserker mode it shows as deactivate once the fighting starts and i have to manually activate it again

so we can all agree that either by design or by a bug, this thing is a bloody PAIN.
