I love RPGS and FPS and both of these games are pretty cheap atm which one should I buy?

I would recommend Borderlands, as I'm not too familiar with Dragon Age (Even though I haven't played both, and actually wanna play them)
I know I will be looked down on by saying this but I enjoyed Borderlands a lot more than Dragon Age... :P *runs out of topic*.Too_tight_shoes
Hah. It's all a preference really. Another factor, is that you can get a $20 off promo code with your DA:O purchase withPAXEAST842 until April 9th!

Is that for the US only then?I honestly had more fun with Borderlands, dissapointed with the ending though, but an amazing game though.
[QUOTE="Nighteg"]There's no comparison. DA has an epic scale storyline. Borderlands' story, on the other hand, would satisfy an 8 year old.dakan45Story aint everything. What about combat, graphics, gameplay? For me it's a lot. Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed Borderlands (except for the idiotic ending), but i enjoyed DA a lot more.
Surprise Surprise... Dakan hates yet another Bioware game
This kind of setting in Dragon Age is not ok? But its ok for Oblivion to do a medivel rpg again
Bioware makes fantastic games, period.
With all the talk you make about sales and REVIEW SCORES and how they matter (oblivion, Uncharted2 and COD series), youd think all the great reviews, praise and sales that ME2 and Dragon Age got that you would support that to.. guess not.

Yes, all fit for an 8 year old. I didn't bother with the DLC for Borderlands. Barely made it through the thing. I was glad it was over. The awful ending seemed very fitting.
Dragon's Age was a much more memorable gaming experience however both games have merit. You are not going to be hurting with either one.

Oblivion takes place on another planet and it has a diffirent story than the usual kill dragons and such, its about gates that lead to diffirent demensions and refrences to Cthulhu. Thats definetly something. As for bioware, i liked kotor alot, kotor 2 by osbidian was ok. I fell in love with jade empire, i hope they make another one. I also have said i liked dragon age. Unlike mass effect, dragon age indeed was "epic" and it had a large amount of content. The only one i hate is mass effect. Which happens to be a diffirent game and a sci fi but i thought it was average in every way apart from graphics. I found the story cheap and predictable with writing that was developed as they go and nothing deep. I found the combat, "cheapy" and incomplete, the dialogues borring and the level design awfully simplistic to impress me. Hell i even enjoyed Rise of the argonauts much more. It did the story better and the level design was better than mass effecft. I dare to say the combat too and it even have less dialogues and more meaningfull. But anyway the rant is more about that people dont give a chance to diffirent games like borderlands or the witcher. Another game i enjoyed called risen was practicly a copy and paste of gothic with so many similarities. Anyway i am looking forward for Alpha protocol which is gonna be something diffirent.Surprise Surprise... Dakan hates yet another Bioware game

So the fps/diablo mix is fit for an 8 year old? Ok, may i add cod and hl2 then? Which suprisingly are mainly played by older people and not by 8 year old. But i guess the comparison i not always right since i know 13 year olds how play tactical games and 50 year old who play cod and borderlands. So i guess gameplay does not have an age.Dragon Age drops kicks Borderlands out of the ring.
It's not even a contest.

My sentiments exactly (even though I have both games).:P
With several DLCs plus an expansion, DA:O wins easily. Character interaction + storyline is top-notch.
I would recommend Borderlands, as I'm not too familiar with Dragon Age (Even though I haven't played both, and actually wanna play them)

If you haven't played either of them, how can you possibly recommend one over the other?
I own both and they are both extremely fun. You are probably going to get more play time out of DA...perhaps even in just the first play through, than you will with borderlands, so I guess from that standpoint I would pick DA, but if you have the money for both, get them both.
holy crap... are you sure it's up until April 9th? I'll get paid before then :D[QUOTE="CrisisFrmTheSky"]

Dakan likes console style games best, keep that in mind. Im not really sure why he likes to chat here, he never has anything good to say about pc gaming.Surprise Surprise... Dakan hates yet another Bioware game

Dragon Age is a good RPG..... but Borderlands was more fun for me....
Both have strong points and weak points. I'm glad I bought both.
Dragon Age starts off strong.... but lulls shortly thereafter, and feels really slow throughout. I expected more, tbh.
Borderlands was fun throughout... but unless you are a LOOT FIEND! You'd be better off with Dragon Age....
Well, I don't own DA, but I do own Borderlands. It's a fun game, but I just can't seem to force myself through a second playthrough. Also, I gotta say, I kind of disliked the coop in Borderlands. I found it laggy with connection issues and just problems in general - that's on the PC side, anyways. Also, I always seem to get paired up with jerks that use modded guns and can shoot stuff in all directions.
As for DA, I never bought it because of the combat. Maybe I just have a short attention span, but I don't like the whole, point and click-to-attack kind of scheme. I'd much rather just have a button to swing my sword, but... apparently it's really good, so whatever.
Dragon age meant to be a Sp game and its great other-hand borderlands is a good co-op game .If u got few friends to play with u then get borderlands otherwise get DA.

Or you simply like rpgs that focus around hack and slash, leveling up and loot.Dakan likes console style games best, keep that in mind. Im not really sure why he likes to chat here, he never has anything good to say about pc gaming. I put it this way, polished cod or buggy stalker with visibly lower quality standards? Cod thank you very much. Arma 2 with bugs and stuff or bad company 2 with polish and better singleplayer. Bad company 2 thank you very much. Cryostasis with awful perfomance and necrovision or wolfenstein and bioshock 2? The last too i guess. Risen, drakensang, divinity 2 with all their frustration/low budget crapiness or fallout 3 and borderlands. Those last 2 thank you very much. I like polish, if the game lacks polish and they say "we are a cheapy developer trying to make money on pc" Then i dont care much. But hey there are times that i am amazed by how good a pc game can turn into. Eg: the witcher, i bought the EE, its polished, its new, its diffirent and very innovative. Unlike all the previous. Now thats a game that i am happy to have on pc. I just wish console users will be able to experiance it too.[QUOTE="kozzy1234"]
