Hey all, just a couple quick question. Is setting up this kind of dual boot any different from say Win XP and Win 7 (my current set up)? On start up will selecting "earlier versions" boot the 32 bit version?

I'm confused. Why would you want two different versions of Win7?

Its the same as dual booting any other OS but why would you want to do this. Nearly everything works with 64bit including every 32bit application I've tried. If you have older software buy a copy of Pro or Ultimate and use Windows Xp Mode.

Just to emphasize what others have already said, yes, you can dual boot 32 bit and 64 bit but there's no point since 64 should be compatible with everything you have. If it isn't then it's likely the case that you're using ancient hardware and need to upgrade to something modern anyway.

Maybe to the consumer market. But what about companies that have software not programed for 64 bit and dont have the cash to hire somebody to reprogram it. 32 bit is gonna die. Just give it time.

yeah 32 need to die, everything works fine on x64 so why would you want that 32bit limited os? If you have the power to run vista you hardware will have 64 bit drivers.

and what printer might that be? unless it is unsupported or over 5 years old there will be 64bit drivers.
