I read this game is being made. Nice... original was probably one of the best PC games i've ever played, civ 2 was bomb, kings quests were bad ass. sim city 2000. Gettysburg. man, games are just lacking substance these days.

Sorry but don't get too excited. What makes you think it will be better than all the other sequels coming out. I mean, don't lose hope, but the general direction of gaming is going away from substance (more towards style). I mean, even Deus Ex 2 sucked compared to Deus Ex.

I had a lot of fun playing both deus ex games, so im quite excited about deus ex 3. But not if its a prequel as it looks like. Really wanted to continue the story from deus ex 2.

I really hope they use the first Deus Ex as a template from which to work, and not the less than stellar sequel. The original game was great partly due to its level of complexity - skills + augs, hit zones on the body, comprehensive inventory/journal system etc. Good ability to use stealth and better hacking, and a great conspiracy tale.

The original Deus Ex surpassed Invisible War in every way except graphics. In DX:IW I hated that any action you took against any faction meant basically nothing, because you could always get back on their good side. There were no real consequences, which cheapened the experience, and the ending was just incredibly lame.

If DX3 is more like IW I think I'll pass. Unfortunately I think it will be, considering the trend of 'streamlined' and 'accessible' multi-platform titles. It's going to take a lot to convince me this next sequel is worth it.
