Just got an e-mail about the DNF demo which is now dated for June 3rd.

Here's the full text :

Borderlands owners rejoice (although it's just a demo but I think everyone's been waiting for too long to have a piece of DNF )

I don't often play demos but I'll definitely be giving this one a go. I know DNF is a big name and a huge reputation among fans, but I can't say I'm totally convinced if it will be a day one purchase or bargain bin.

Yeah.. Like I said, I could understand it will be a straight buy, no-brainer for Duke fans. I can't say I'm a Duke fan. And jumping on the Duke bandwagon doesn't count for me either. I would have to be slightly obsessed with a specific franchise in order for me to buy that game day one. Just sayin'. ;) I'm sure Duke fans are clamoring for the game because well, it's FINALLY coming out. It's going to be big.

I don't see why the demo couldn't be released to everyone, like people have had to wait this long, would it be that big a deal? :(

This. I don't think people who have been waiting this long for DNF will care about a demo. I know some do.. but they've waited YEARS for this game. I'm sure they could wait a little more and skip the demo altogether.

Yeah, I noticed that earlier. I have not been waiting on pins and needles for this game like many (in fact I'm not really even a Duke Nukem fan), but I still look forward to trying out the demo.

I'm gonna completely skip the demo and go right into DNF. I want it raw, no protection, Duke style 8)

I paid $50 to get this demo early so it better be worth it.

Exactly what is the point in releasing the demo to a part of the gaming community? I thought a demo's purpose was to have people give it a try and see if they wanted to get the whole game, Like a taste sample. Granted I've already Pre-ordered it so the Demo doesn't really interest me, but it does seem kinda counter-productive.
