DVD Writer stopped working

Hi guys,

Yesterday, I was trying to burn some 300MB files into a DVD using Nero Multimedia 10. The process started and all went well till it reached about 40%. Then, the program became not responding. I waited for 1 hour but still, the status didnt change. Then, I tried closing the program but the program wouldnt. So, I pressed the eject button on the Writer and then the program closed and the disc came. I placed the DVD again but it beeps for 7 seconds and then does nothing. I thought the DVD was damaged. Then I tried another two disc but the same happened. Now, I can't view any CD or DVD. I tried but couldn't. So, I need to know whether my DVD writer is damaged or is there a solution to fix this.

Just throw the DVD player out and buy a new one, they are cheap.

DVD drives are the cheapest things you can buy. In australia, they are about $30 AUD, which according to google is about 1344 rupees.
