dvdrw wont work?

i just bought a asus dvdrw lightscribe rom ( SATA ) for my secondary comp which is a p4 865 and it have got 2 sata ports. everything i installed properly but still the rom doesnt work, meaning the mobo detects the rom and its there in my computer but doesnt play any dvd/cd :S so did i do something wrong with the setup?

IDE 1 primary-HDD

IDE 1 secondary-DVD Rom

IDE 2 primary - DVDRW ( SaTa )

ps.also when i right click the rom n hit eject, the tray works!

Bad drive maybe? Update it's firmware, or maybe you just got a regular cd-rom ina dvdrw box

IDE 2 primary = sata? I don't think so. Unless you have a sata-ide converter for the drive which is pointless.
