Looks awesome. Something I was concerned about was that they might want to keep the randomisation/non-clone unit technology from Medieval 2, since it's a pretty cool tech, but it would not be very appropriate for the era.
I'm actually pleased to see clone units in the game.

I hope its just the uniforms that are the same, I want some different faces and height.

Check the screens again. They are not clones, the main uniforms look all the same but other details are random.

Oh well, there are always mods, but I don't really care that much.

That's what I meant - I have noticed minor differences in their appearances, but their outfits are uniform... that's all I was talking about. The armour in M2 is very piecemeal and I was concerned they might be attached to it.
I'll wait for the modders to get to work on it. The first two Total War games were very nice, beer-and-pretzels type wargames. Light on the realism, but nice eye-candy. Out of the box, Rome and Medieval II were laughably bad. It wasn't until the modding community got ahold of them and put out some great 3rd party stuff that they were worthwhile owning. Shame about the braindead AI in Rome and MII though. Even the best modders out there were severely hamstrung by the terrible AI.
I hope against hope that CA has looked into the issue and will at least make the battles somewhat challenging, but I suspect it'll be all about eye-candy and we'll still have suicidal generals, passive cavalry, and skirmishers that don't respond to flanking attacks.
