I have a Dell system with a E4400. Should I upgrade to a Q6600 or should I buy a non-dell mobo and a case so that I can overclock the E4400 to 3 ghz?

A new case/motherboard would probaly decrease your temps, be cheaper than a Q6600, and give you more upgrading options so defiently go that route.
