Intel Core 2 Duo Conroe E6600  or  AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+

witch is better for gaming and all around performance stock, and with on is better and easyer to OC

e6600 by a long shot. at stock it performs similarly, and it is way cheaper at $230, plus it can oc to 3.8 ghz on stock cooling!

You do save a lot getting the E6600 anyways and it overclocks way better, so the choice is clear.

If you pump your E6600 to 3.2Ghz it will outperform the 6000+ by 30% easly.

Definitely the E6600.  The overclocking alone makes it the better pick.
