Hello.

With great astonishment, I see that every time EA removes more sport games, case of the Madden Series (by the way, in my country of origin is not very common to see it in stores, being so, I must buy it on Ebay) that's very good, personally, I like it much.

But the question is: What's happening with EA, that every year clears something of their repertoire?

Doing some investigative work, First it was with the NCAA that only had game in 99, then the NASCAR Series that was in stores in the 2004 for the pc's (well-known as " Nascar SimRacing"), and now the other sports. I wonder, if is not better to unify the games with the platforms? When we will see again (those that we have economic capacity to do it) games like Madden, or NASCAR Series, or the NCAA series again in the PC?

I believe that this is a mean game between EA and their clients who, like I, will be harmed with this new " wall" that they are imposing, and as far as the subject of the piracy, is not fair that we Pc users had to pay.

Please EA , If you are seeing this, believe me that you have to loosen the rope a little in this market, the best example is Rockstar Games , After taking a determination from not release GTA IV for the PC, soon they thought second time and they will release it the next month .

Please, they think or what they do, so that will arrive the moment in which the consoles as the Xbox or the PlayStation is obsolete, as it happens now, something that do not happen with the PC many times.

Thank you very much.

PD: I am From Bogotá, Colombia, And I Love Football, more than soccer indeed. Also, I don't like consoles very much.

NFL definitely didn't sell on PC, so, sorry if you liked it but they probably won't make another NFL. Nascar is the same and a few others. Only soccer sells very well on PC (mostly in Europe), but even so, they do a terrible job at it.

And R* never said they will not make a PC version, even before it's release on consoles almost all of us (if not all) knew that a PC version would be around the corner and there really wasn't any official info that the game won't be ported on PC, so I don't know where you got that idea.

Anyway, EA won't reconsider, we will never see another NFL on PC.

I hear there was alot of small companies that tryed to start up on the for sport games and EA would buy them out. To make matters worse EA has gone and made contracts with the big leuges so no other company can use real life team names.

the big leagues don't like having their names attached to smaller companies' games - they have to give others permission to do it, and so a lot of them said 'screw it, we just want EA to do it because we don't like what the smaller guys have done.' sorta like the nfl did.

Madden 2010 is coming to PC. Some other sports games that were left off in '09 are also coming back, don't know if specifics have been announced though.

They're probably just gonna use these games as a testbed for new and improved DRM - not many units are gonna get sold anyway, which means there'll be less people to whine about the fact their computer self-destructs and a squad of Ninja SWAT execute their families when they try to install the game on a friends PC using their own registration key.

...

See what I did there? That's me being topical.
Irrelevant, but topical.

I am never going to support a console ever, must console game are trash games! That is exaclty what they want you to do. I can't wait until hardware companies start hitting back. I can wait for pc gaming to take off agin.

I would rather mod my own games and give them out for free! If pc gaming ever died that would be the end of my gaming. I am sorry I can't play trash games.

the only reasons EA can't touch football(soccer) is because there is more than one company that makes fottball games. Eourpe people don't play on a console they play on pc's

Consoles are stupid ideas for people trying to make money - they have to pay licensing fees for every disc.
That's why id is being lax for the 360-version of that new game they're developing (I'm too tired to remember names).

It seems illogical that they'd want people to go to consoles.

Not to mention the fact that most major products are codeveloped across consoles and PC unless they think people are going to rip them off too often anyway.

Yes, but football games are something that you are supposed to play with your friends and that's quite a lot more comfortable on a console.

Plenty of people do, I see no reason why you wouldn't. A sports game done right is better on PC.

indeed, but you can't deny that the internet, for example, was FIRST on PCs, the online playing was FIRST on PC, and it is kinda odd (and disturbing as well) that there is some games designed ONLY for consoles, I think that every company should get their releases on EVERY console INCLUDING the PC users as well. When this world of electronic gaming was starting, there wasn't that type of brenches between games.

That piracy story... piracy my a**, if the problem was that, they don't even bother to release any game, for console or pc. EA had to work harder on they press communicates or change their lies for something with more credibility.

I hope that the EA Sports Series will be back in 2010, or else!!!:D

Greets.

Thats not true. It used to be you had PC gaming, and console gaming... With not a lot of crossover... Now things have kind of merged with not many exclusives between consoles, and so many console games coming to PC, and PC games going to consoles. The PC exclusives now are mainly games that are not possible on consoles, such as RTS/TBS and still quite a few RPGs, shooters such as Crysis, Stalker...

well in my honest opinion, i hate ea sports. cant say im heart broken.

EA spends more time worrying about madden with only roster updates, and a new arena, maybe a few plays, and markets it as a whole new game...

when they could be honestly putting more money on... lets say red alert, or command and conquer, not to mention all the other games out there,

this is the reason why the EA james bond games were not that good...

EA ruins more games than they succeed with. It's a shame they can't turn their money into something good.

More People that you'd think. Just search up some Fansites for FIFA/NHL08 and see the endless mods, roster and skin updates made by the community on weekly basis during the season.

Anywho, as far as EA abandoning PC sports games, they have been feeding us PS2 garbage ports since 06. So I stopped caring. But with NBA 2k9 coming to PC, its possible 2k finally realized the untapped market potential on the PC front and finally get EA something to compete against. Though admittedly, NBA wasnt the best option of a game to port...

They haven't abandoned PC. They are retooling Madden and NBA at least for 2010. And NHL and Fifa never left. Supposedly, a new online is coming for next year, and hopefully a better graphics engine.

you could see it both ways. nhl and fifa are still ps2 ports. madden and nba were ps2 ports for the longest time. tiger is still ps2 ports. they may not have technically left, but for all intents and purposes, they may as well have. madden and nba series are beginning to suck, and with the 2k series coming to the pc, ea's move to FINALLY do a new gen port may be too little, too late.

i don't really care about the other games, but FIFA definitely wasn't a PS2 port - they upped the graphics, though they kept the physics back from the 360/PS3 version. ditto for Madden - they already talked about how they were taking a year off to re-tool the series, so something different is happening next year.
