I'll respectively disagree with your *subjective* opinion on EA week. EA week was actually quite good(My *subjective* opinion). There were discounts on a whole load of games that I found very much appealing the most recent I actually purchased (Dragon age:awakening).

I respectively disagree with your subjective opinion. Also, you read like a dictionary.
I already have BC2, ME2, and DA + Awakening in box form. Nothing else interested me. So, of course, the EA week wasn't really that great, from my perspective.
It was bad because EA has no good games lol
what  Its not the games, its just that.......i have most of them50%-75% off is bad? SAGE_OF_FIRE
75% off an old game everyones already played. 50-75% of Dragon Age or ME2 and it would be something good.

There's nothing to be thankful for in economics, it's all business and marketing tactics. I can't believe you think EA is doing this for their customers, so naive.
Excuse me, but where did I say EA was doing it for their customers? People on this board always have something to complain about, no matter if the deal is good or not. By the way I am not naive as you so say, so do not troll me please.Yes 50-75% off would have been more like it.......considering you can find many of their SALES for less on ebay all the time.
This was a steam only deal why shouldn't we expect more when steam sales often are better then this?
75% off an old game everyones already played.

Which is to say nothing about the fact that most of the games that were on sale were still not played by everyone (as you claim) and that people generally like taking advantage of discounts on said "old games" or hell just any game for that matter.

And this is a problem.... especially *this* business move.... why exactly?

Never directly no doubt about it. Businesses in general are mostly concerned with creating value for itself. However, If EA wants to see success in this particular business move, then it(like other businesses) need to consider the perceived value to the consumer if it intends to be successfully carry out its week. Yes, it is extremely likely that it is doing it for a quick injection of sales but really.... with deals like the ones they gave us throughout the week I honestly don't mind supporting it. I don't think most of the people who actually bought those discounted games don't mind either considering that a lot of those discounted EA games hit top charts fairly briefly.
I got Mass Effect for 5 bucks so not a bad deal week. Much better than the Xbox 360 version I already have.:)

its called a win-win situation, where EA makes bank from the sales and we get great games on the cheap. i think we can be thankful for thatI love how a few people on here are complaining about this. We got anywhere from 25%-75% off of some really good titles...which believe it or not, not everyone owned already. I don't care if it was a business tactic, I got what should be some good games for cheaper than they normally are.
