What has gaming come to? Just bought a copy of BF3 (yeah I know, late to the party, I haven't played a lot of games since '10-11 anyways)
First of all I require an internet connection to install the game (Luckily I'm at home so this wasn't a problem... If this was work I'd be pissed) which is stupid enough on its own. But after installing and having download all kinds of updates and stuff they force me to sign up for some BS origin account that I don't even want, how about just letting me play the game?
Later once everything is seemingly in order I launch the game and all that happens is that it opens up a stupid fvcking web browser directing me to their website "Please pre-order BF4 now" f*** off, I just got BF3, and no I don't want any god damn overpriced DLC.
I see there's an icon for "quick match", "campaign" etc... Does this also mean that I am required to have internet connection just to play the game? Do I always have to launch via a browser? (Which by the way, would be the dumbest idea in gaming since forever) But even worse when I click on these icons there's nothing happening.
f*** you, EA.

READ: I bought something and did not do any research on it so now I blame the company.
I wonder if people like you do the same with other things, for example a washing machine. I didn't read it was only 6kg load so now when I put 8kg it doesn't work properly, so I blame the company who created the machine.
Don't know if trolling or just ignorant cause if the later, Origin and Battlelog both work fine for millions of people.
You deserve a medal for the dumbest analogy ever written on Gamespot.
My scenario is closer to this: I bought a washing machine, but apparently it doesn't use normal washing powder, instead you have to buy a special type of soap manufactured by the company that made the washing machine. No one else does this sort of thing, but this particular washing machine manufacturer does anyway. On top of that, the soap won't work if its kept in room temperature for some reason, so you have to keep it your fridge.
Upon claiming that it is absurd having to buy special soap AND keep it in the fridge, people simply say "lolol do research". That's how dumb EAs origin/browser setup is.
But I wonder if people like you do this with other things. Do you research the particular type of toilet paper you buy? Just in case it might be made of sand paper?
Do you ask the cashier about the origin of their apples to make sure they are not poisonous?
Do you check the history of restaurants before going to them to make sure they don't have a habbit of not washing their hands?
