just got a new pc and need stuff from my old pc but it has a bad case of being dead [don't want to open up my new pc and connect the HDD as there's a warranty sticker]
whats the easiest/cheapest way to connect the HDD externally to my new pc?
there are external enclosures for hard drives.. there not cheap (like 30- 50 bucks) but they come with adapter cards for normally missing slots such as e-sata or firewire.
9/10 these enclosures use e-sata, usb 2.0/3.0 and/or firewire.
i have one with a 500gb HDD in it for school it set me back 85 bucks canadian for the drive and the enclosure.. it came with the adapter and i got a free 2gb usb stick with it :D
