Editing needs!!!

Whats a good cheap video editing program? cuz im starting to make videos and skate videos and i need a good one with cool effects and stuff.....and not windows movie maker something i can download

Unfortunately PC Games is were well games are discussed and since GS won't put up a proper software forum this place is as good as any to post his question...

Vegas Videois the only one I know of and I don't think it's remotely cheap :)
