First to post gets it.
I don't want it thought the beta was shit and the game.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
It hasn't worked yet (the key I mean).
@Exiled_Paladin has told me that the Beta Key registration page is not working properly. Will try again tomorrow.
i wouldn't want one even if you payed me.
Cause MP games only are boring right?
I gave mine away yesterday. It was annoyingly bad timing for me really, I was looking forward to playing it but I wouldn't be able to this weekend :(
I really enjoyed the beta when i got a chance to play last year. I am really looking forward to the game release.... This year is going to be crazy with games.... I think I should just blow my whole vacation between March and April....
now thats what im talking about! i think i need a new chair though this one is quite broken in
I put off trying this game too long. Finally used my beta key and look forward to trying it out once it finishes downloading. :)
It should be out in a week or so... I hope they didn't ruin the game or I'll just wait for Skywind mod
Pretty much feels like Skyrim light, I was really looking forward to this game and was never a hater so take that for what its worth. It plays like Elder Scrolls with the combat and movement, but compared to single player Elder Scrolls games it is very linear with little to no exploration and a weak skill tree system. But of course it is being released on consoles as well so there you go. I'm sure they will love it. :/
I have one if anyone's interested.
i'll take it if it's not just for this weekend.
Yeah it's for this weekend.
I have one if anyone's interested.
If no one else replies I would be willing to try it. Soolkiki's key must be tied to his account because it keeps giving me invalid key when adding it (no worries there man!). If no one else has claimed it that is.

I might have the same thing also possibly, but I'll PM you the key then.

Hrm. I think what you saw is a glimpse of the game due to not having a lot of time with your session. Because, I've been in some sessions that lasted longer than just a weekend event. I'll agree it doesn't feel like a traditional MMORPG in regards to certain gameplay mechanic. And the starting areas are very much introductions in comparison to the scope of the game world. The last time I truly explored in a MMORPG was World of Warcraft and before that Everquest and Asheron's Call. From what I saw there's tons of exploration and excellent vistas. And yes, you will be traveling "great" distances on foot(Cyrodiil at least takes 30 minutes to cross on foot alone). Remember in 2004 when you went to Stormwind for the first time or hopped on a flying mountain to travel somewhere in WoW? I had that same feeling of excitement and being awed.
The skill tree lines are much deeper in regards to making a build then most MMORPGs in my opinion. There's definitely enough information on the web for this type of discussion. Developing your character is simple and easy to use while looking minimal from first impressions. The idea is to have your class not limit you to a specific role or more so aplaying style. You will initially have access to a set of skill lines that everyone will receive at first. This includes things like the ability to use any weapon or armor style regardless of the class. You also get a racial skill line unique to your race. Not to mention each class offers a handful of skill lines you can choose abilities from. You will not only receive points upon leveling to improve your skills or choose new ones, but also you'll become more effective with a skill the more you use it in traditional TES fashion.
The one thing that's very important about the skill system in exploration. There are Mundus Stones in the world that effect specific attributes, and abilities of a player and even ways to achieve skills points outside of leveling. But what's more important is discovering additional skill lines/trees to add to what you already have. If you become a vampire or a werewolf you received additional skill line with new special abilities related to your transformation. The Fighter and Mages Guild have their own skill lines that players can interact with. The idea is that the player will have to explore much of Tamriel to access additional skill trees outside of what they initial had at the start of the game. If you're the top ranking player in Cyrodiil for your winning faction, you'll receive a skill line with abilities exclusive to you, and the title of Emperor until someone knocks you off the throne.
The idea is not only to progress through the skill lines you already have, but discover and earn NEW ones. Which will give you a vast options of abilities to mix and match to create a class that suits you. Now of course players will find builds more commonly used, especially for PvP. But here's another twist. We're talking about common builds which will be popular for a week or so instead of over a course of several months. A player might discover that the right set of abilities from the Vampire tree, two-handed tree, heavy armor tree, and Dragon Knight tree works wonders in PvP. But then a week later another player discovers if you use a set of skills in the Vampire Hunter tree, archery tree, Templar tree, and light armor tree they can totally own said player before. The reason why this might work is because even though the game has tons of skills to choose from you will only have a handful active at any given time. So if you're a big fan of PvP(I think ESO has a great system especially if you like DAoC), you'll constantly be tweaking your character adjusting to changes made by others.
I will admit, some players do not like the idea of having access to only a handful of active abilities in a MMORPG including me. But I think this time around(and from what I seen) it makes a interesting gameplay mechanic.

All I hope to see is traditional Elder Scrolls game with exploring/dungeons + lots of other people.
There're some games I wish the devs just added co-op to even 2 players and that's it; Games like: Fallout 3/Stalker/Elder Scrolls.
Games with Huge worlds to explore but to share the experience with some friends.
I can't imagine finishing Diablo 2 LoD without friends, it won't be the same.
