Ugh, I sense so much stupidity here.. When he says 'not real gameplay' he means the controls are unrealistic.. As in.. You click and your character moves rather than minute movements being controlled as is first and third person shooter style.
So no Fallout.. No Arcanum.. Etc. That's what he means in this particular thread, so read things and at least try to make sense of his weird logic. Which isn't that hard to do..
Why do people think Oblivion is so great?? Compared to Morrowind and the expansions, Oblivion is crap. Gothic 1-3 are awsome games. If people are reading this and have not played Morrowind then you are missing out.Vito25
I loved Morrowind, and it was fun, especially the part that it was so drastically different than the real world and such with the landscape and such.. Nice way to get away.. Oblivion is so drastically different than any other game that exists that it's unreasonable to even compare it to anything like that. You may not have liked it, but the unique things it does bring to gaming are done pretty well, considering it was the first to take on that sort of undertaking.
It doesn't matter, anyways.. He's trying to gather a big list of all the non-point-and-click style RPGs that are not script-based, but may have a script, but allow many options more than just multiple dialogue. So Top down RPGs don't count for the purposes of this thread, and games like KOTOR don't count either.. It's really not that complicated, holy crap.
