Empire: Total War -- Objective is at the outside of the map !?!

I'm having a peculoar problem in this game. In Episode 2, a mission objective is to captur Quebec and Montreal. but they are outside the map!!! How can I go there?? Is it a bug? or something else?

Move your curser around and you will find Quebec and Montreal, was easy for me personally.

They are both located west (to the left) of the city you have to take to get to chapter 3.

Dudes, it is completely black in the west. If I move my cursor to west I can see the text Quebec nad montreal but My soldier cant reach there. It is dark black.

I believe the following may be your issue and threw some people off like myself for a bit. You can get to Canada. However, you likely can't just click on Canada to move there because the way is blocked by a fort and probably an army. YOu need to move your army up to the border - next to the river - until you see the gold two way arrow crossing the river. (Also, note that you can send ships down this river by sending them north-east around New Foundland. You can send an army this way or just send ships to get a better view). When you reach the gold arrow ( there's two of them by the way that are not far apart - like 2 or 3 inches) you should see what's blocking your path. If it's a fort, you will have to attack it or if no enemy army is fortify it you have to enter it first before moving further into Canada. If I recall corrrectly, the arrow with the fort on the other side is further west, the arrow to the east may have an army on the other side. Either way, you have to cross here or send you army over using a ship.

It isn't that we can't understand, it is that you are not explaining well enough. I literally JUST took these two cities this morning. Not a single problem. The problem you're having has either been explained or you somehow have a corrupted install and would need to reinstall the entire thing.

And yes, download and use FRAPS, take a picture and post it here so we "can" understand.

It seems youhave some kind of faulty install. The answer you will probably most likely get at the official forums is to uninstall then reinstall.

I updated the game and that really worked. But had to have uninstall it first though :( Boriiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggggggg

Tsk tsk..cheating is no way to play or even beat a game. If you complete the game by cheats, you didn't actually beat it, you just floated down the river.
