patch 1.3 and elite units were looking great until around 1780 in my new campaign as Prussia. The game now just crashes to desktop over and over on this turn and is unplayable from this point. This is a reaccuring issue and I've had this problem with the previous versions of the game also (crashes to desktop in late campaigns). Any way to solve this or is this a problem that has not been resolved yet? Shame, that this ruins the gaming experience to what seemd a great patch.
Any thought on above issue?

I see that on Steam there's a small DLC titled 'Elite Units' or something like that. Is that worth picking up? I still haven't opened the shrink wrap on this title. LOL.

Its just units that are re-skinned and are a little better than their brothern. Not worth it.

Don't buy it, yet. I wanted to get it too since it's pretty cheap and more variation doesn't do any harm, but I don't know if this happens to everyone, but the TW and Steam ETW forums are full of people that say it doesn't work at all, mostly because of some issue with Steam, so wait till they fix it. I also hope they'll release the Special Forces as a DLC too :( I really want the HMS Victory.
