Empire Total War Some Questions!!!

I think im going to buy ETW, but i have some things ive been wondering about:

1. Is the campaign map AI good. IN M2TW, the AI sucked. Being in war is nothing dangerous because you never get attacked. Is it like this in ETW?

2. When i start producing high-tech units. All of my opponents still have their mid-tech units. Will the AI do like this in ETW too?

3. Will the AI launch any invasions over the seas? In M2TW, GB never got conquered or attacked cause the AI never used sea invasions!

4. Does the battle AI use any tactics or do they just rush forward? If they do use tactics, in what way. Do they just flank and counter flank or can they permorm any advanced tactics like tricking me to go by any forest and than ambush or using the horse-shoe tactics?

5. When playing online, is there any stats or/and a level-up system. If there is, please explain how it works and what the stats save

6. How long does the games SP last?

1. The AI is not great and is easy to beat providing you arent massively outnumbered.

2. I've recently finished the game and found that only 1 faction had riflemen, which is the most modern unit type.

3. Yes, but I only saw them use fees to lauch attacks twice.

4. The tactics are weak, the AI doesnt know that if you move you cant shoot, they always waste timechasing cavalry around while the rest of the army is being killed, they always try to charge artillery which causes them a lot of loses.

5. Not tried online.

6. The "long" campaign lasted me ages, nd doesnt have an ending when you conquer everyone, which was disappointing.

But when you are in war, does your enemy attacks you alot?

No the AI isnt very aggresive although,there is an improvement in that you arent constantly being declared on however when they do declare, they rarely attack.

Also I loathed the naval combat which I found clumsy and awkward so I ended up just building a huge navy and just letting the AI resolve every time.

Overall I was disappointed with Empire TW but I did complete it. I'm in two minds whether to buy NapoleonTW as I was so disappointed with Empire TW, i think i'll wait for player feedback before I make any purchases!

But when you are in war, does your enemy attacks you alot?

On my campaign the AI is aggresive. Atleast Austria they just keep attacking everyone with full stacks.(I'm Prussia and I'm using a mod. But I don't think the mod affects AI.)

Ok Campaign AI is Extremely Aggressive at the hardest difficulty, But much of the the aggressiveness lacks a proper Casus Belli, But AI in battle mode at the hardest difficultyleaves much to be desired.

I usually play Prussia and after the last patch, I am at war with pretty much everyone within 5 turn, with no one to trade with or allies. ETW is completely broken as far as I'm concerned.

Empire Total war was tons of fun. It had a few issues but the latest patches have fixed the issues I had.

BUT.. I say get Napoleon Total War, from the early reviews/previews Ive seeen its a BIG improvement over Empire Total War in the gameplay, AI and Optimization departments.

Wierd, Ive never had a crash out of 87 hours on the game. Definatly had some other issues though (mainly with AI)
