not sure if this is the rightplace to post this, so i apologize if it is.

empire total war worked before, i havent played mylaptop in a while, but it used to work fine, I installed patch 1.3 and it wont start up past the screen which says EMPIRE TOTAL WAR,and shows all the credits etc., but it freezes, leaving me unable to do anything, ctrl+alt+delete doesnt work, nor alt+f4. ive uninstalled it 3 times, and when i do, i delete every trace of ETW from the steam folder, ive uninstalled my anti-virus system in hope that it would work, it didnt. im running off windows 7, if that changes anything. anybody got any ideas?

thanks

Are you installing a seperate patch? usually this is a no go for steam games as it messes them up, besides steam should auto update to 1.6. ETW is a terrbly unstable but awesome game. Did you mess with the drivers or anything since the last time you played.

I've got the exact same problem. This game works fine on my dad's computer which runs Vista, however it freezes every time I install it on my laptop which is running Windows 7. I've installed it and uninstalled it three or four times and nothing. Also did the same with Steam and this hasn't changed anything either. Any ideas?
