How many EQ2 players out there?

I just started playing again after a 2 year break.  The game is so amazing now, so much customization and stuff to do whether you want to solo or group.  It's great after leaving wow!!

I still play every now and then (Najena server).  I agree that the game is much improved over the launch version.  There's tons of content now.  The devs really did an especially great job with the Echoes of Faydwer expansion.  :)

Game's pretty dang good, as far as MMORPGs go.

What really got to me though, was the sheer number of quests (good or bad thing, I guess).  I felt completely overwhelmed by having 45 quests to do and feeling the need to complete them all.

Wow, I was playing with the idea of starting this game up again, once I cancel my gametap account (if I can ever get unaddicted to those old-school adventure games). I like to keep like.. Only one monthly game payment thingy at a time. Anyhow, I can't really drive myself to try WoW, and I enjoyed the realism approach to EQ2, and I just got a new pc so it should be gorgeous, and I'll probably have fun for maybe a month or less, already have the game.. Then after that I'll try LoTR online after the reviews start coming

LOTR is pretty fun...The thing is unlike WoW or any other game...If you want to level. You have to do quests. There are plently of them. But if you think about grinding...You are SOL. Like you can go out at kill 200-300mobs at level 8. You may have a 1/4 of a bar then.

But the good points are

-No downtime...They made recoverary quick. Meaning less sitting there and waiting and more playing.

-Tons of quests...Yes they have a lot^^

-Tons of ways to advance your character. You have the standerd Level...Then you have deeds(Like bonus things...+3 or 4 to Might type stuff(This si the grind stuff).

-Pretty much all the classes can solo...It is not like WoW or others were that priest class is useless at solo or takes all day.
