Europa Universalis IV trailer

I was looking at Europa Universalis when I came across this. Now, I've never played a universalis game and I know nothing about them, but what's up with their advertising methods? Is it an inside joke that I don't get? Are they being idiots on purpose? I'm not quite sure what to think of it.

That literally just convinced me to purchase the game :D

Also, not sure if inside joke, but Paradox does sort of have a way about being... different.

Sounds like a fairly accurate description of the gameplay.
