Discuss because i just quit playing WoW because of this game and sold my account for 500$ double win in my opinion and i have been looking for a reason to stop playing all together actually but this was just a even better reason to.

Well considering the fact that they're completely different kinds of games, you can't really make that statement. It's like me saying Warcraft III > Counter Strike.

Can't wait for the day that selling a game character you don't own the actual rights for can land you in jail.....

Anyhows, EVE Online, it's a bit of a niche MMO, very slow paced, albeit I was very intrigue by the concept the entire world is just one big persistant galaxy, none of the whole "create a player on this server and be stuck on that one server" crap.  My bro used to play it all the time before WoW came out, all I mostly saw him do was mining stuff, since apparently in EVE Online, money = power.

Eve online stopped me playing wow, very involving if you get into a good corporation (guild for those that dont play it). You can play the game how you want and you dont have to be online to train unlike wow.

They are the only mmo's I have really played though so I cant really comment about any others.

You dont have to mine, you get more money from high level combat missions, it depends how you play the game.

I've been playing EVE since the beta several years ago and I still love it.  As has already been said, you dont ever have to mine in EVE.  You can do missions or once you get the hang of it, you can be a hired fighter or work with a corp.  Personaly I found mining to be better for me since I wanted to start my own company and those skill came in use for that.  At the momment, I've kinda dropped out of regualr play time on EVE as I have to many other games to play at the momment.  I just make sure to log in and set my skills to train.  Other than that, I'm pretty much stuck on LOTRO and will be for a few months.

Hmmm, sounds like you're jealous. No offense man, but what do you care if one person who's got nothing better to do with their life than play Wow for who knows how long, sells his account to a like-minded person who wants to do the same?

EVE Online is a very niche game and it's a great game for who it appeals to and probally the best mmorpg out atm, however thats not saying much cause the standard of the mmorpg genre is pretty low. Anyways the standard gamer on these boards wont tend to like it due to the time it takes and slow paced nature.

It's the only mmorpg that made my heart beat fast in PVP because of the harsh death pens.
