I tried it back in 2008 and on a whim picked it up where I left off again in 2012. I enjoyed myself but it was getting to the point where I needed to join a corporation. I never did. I dont always want to shell out the 10 each month when I'm alreAdy back logged with games already paid for and not getting played yet.

EvE is an amazing game. If I had the time I would play Eve.

You can easily make 60 mill a hour ratting in a cheap T1 battlecruiser and pay for a PLEX that way, although unless your in null sec your wasting your time really.

Honestly I wish I had any idea how; is that running instances I guess? Got into EVE about four years ago, then each year or so afterwards for a short period of time; deciding to gate camp in null sec for a pirate corp killed the game for me. Would like to get back in - the new update looks promising and I haven't touched it in ages - but yeah, a sub fee is a lot to ask from myself.

Just run Hubs in a Naga although they are in null sec you can easily pay for Plex's that way as well as having more then enough Isk for pvp. If you do decide to resubscribe I would recommend joining a null sec corp that is part of an alliance.

eve is garbage:

missions get boring fast

pvp is hard to find and when you do find it, you will usually meet ppl with high skillpoints who will destroy a pilot under 1 year.

this game is for fishermen, who just like to camp till they catch someone. all everyone cares about is their KILLBOARD ratio.

I made lots of ISK from scamming so I could afford to just throw away some ships and got a lot of smacktalk about my k/d ratio, so then I realised these ppl are not looking for a fun and fair fight.

Lots of veterans do nothing except roam space looking to bait some noob into attacking them.

EvE is good if you have a lot of time, and your sole purpose is to troll/grief people, that's about it.

Don't believe all the marketing hype. EvE is a lot like real life, there are powerful people with deep roots who nobody is ever going to take down, and you will be just a little insect trying to survive in a hard enviroment, that offers nothing much.

Wicked, thanks man I'll keep that all in mind. Shall resub in the new year and give it a burl, you're right about the corp part, beats getting nuked when roaming about.
