I've had a Logitech G5 for about 6 months now and haven't had any problems so far. But a few days ago the wheel seems to have come off balance a little. For example, one scroll of the wheel should adjust the web page up or down a notch. But the wheel if off balance so that the slighest touch of the wheel triggers the sensor and moves the page up or down when I'm not even trying to. It's really a pain in any first person shooter where the touch acidently changes the weapon I have. It doesn't seem easy tro take apart the mouse. Any ideas?

see if there is anything there to help you. i would assume you would need to poke around inside. either way if you break its not like you are worse off than were you started.

Yes I've got a G7. You'll need to open the thing up. Taking off the pads off the bottom as screws are underneigh and on minewas a stickly label that I had to move as there is a screwunder that too.The pads won't sit back perfectly when you put the thing back together again and that cause a problem with the gliding of the mouse won't be as smooth.I mention all this when someone was going to buy a g5 or g7 and I say the mouse has got some problems after you have it a while. The middle mouse button and scroll being one of the problems I had a few times now. It seems dust can get trapped in their making it not work and as you say come off balance a little.
