wow....... what a game! But, is what other MMORPG's are like this? Please don't suggest WoW.... tried it... didn't get into it...

and any one else looking forward to Age of Conan?

I have yet to see any game even remotely close to Everquest 2 in similar experience unfortantely. To be quite honest the only MMO that I am keeping a eye on is Warhammer Online..

EQ2 has come a long way from 2004 launch. I still play it to this day. Just wished they would optimize it abit more for multi-processors.

Well atm I don't have the expansions, but even in the original game there are many many many players in low level areas. I opened up the game with a new character and there were lots of players around. As for end-game, I don't know as of yet, but I can see my self sinking some serious hours into this game!

EQ2 is a great game, I only play WoW now because its more casual and I don't have a lot of time these days. EQ2 still has a solid community, the content is big now and growing. The end game content is pretty good aswell.

EQ2 is one of the better MMOs but its too dead to get into now IMO. plus theres so many expansions, but i think they sell it in bundle?

Never played EQ2, but have wow and its about as boring as can be. Warhammer online looks exactly the same as wow, you could say its an expantion.

In regards to any one else looking forward to age of conan, thats a fat YES. i think it looks amazing, with dx10 adcanced graphics and inotive gameplay I think it will be quite an experiance indeed

I must admit warhammer does look pritty good, a lot better than wow. That said im looking for something new, and conan looks to be it

i loved eq2 when i was playing it and im planning on going back again i tried wow and didnt realy like it so much i dont have any experience with any others i guess i was pretty happy with the eq2 didnt feel like i needed to try any others

If you ever played EQ 2 before at any point. You can now go back and play for free till the end of july through their living legacy promotion. They will even give you the expansions for free.

Everquest 2 was a amazing game when it first came out, but since then they've watered/dumbed it down A LOT to compete with WoW. I think if they stuck with their original plan they would have been able to get EQ1 players to move into EQ2, but thats long gone now. I've actually been thinking about buying EQ1 and all the expansions again soon.

IMO, Everquest is lightyears better than EQ2. If you're looking for an amazing MMORPG, play EQ :)

I have been playing Conan for a week or whatever now since the release, it is not all that great. Very computer intensive, combat is not as "Engaging" as we were led to believe (think Dynasty Warrior spamming of 1-2 buttons rather than first person virtual reality), and there is absolutely no end-game content.

I really liked eq2, but seems like no one is ever around on it....I would play it if more people where on or I could find a decent guild with a fair amount of players active...
