What do you think of this? is Activision responsible for MW2 unexplained 60$ tag and the lack of dedicated servers? or are these two going to do the same with EA?

Dont you mean anywhere else :P
Well, one greedy ass publishing company goes down, another rises. Good riddance, the IW heads are better off in EA than Activision and I'm sure results will show in the future.
Wouldn't want to see the next generation of FPS war games priced at 60$ with no dedicated servers on the PC.

...... I wouldn't be too sure; all they did was create their own studio (Respawn Entertainment), that doesn't mean the price of "their" games will go down any, we'll have to see ..... and with EA being the "sole" distrbutor, that would mean none of their games will be on Steam or any other digital download site; so, any good deals on the games they release will be up to them, how often has that happened in any reasonable amount of time?
These are the guys the solely ruined MW2, do not think about support these guys. They are still IW. Just with a new name, and a different dev team and publisher.NicozsCan you please explain how they were the ones that ruined it please?

He means that they are the lesser of the two evils with the other one being Activision. We shouldn't hail them and cheer like they are triumphant champions returning from a long and glorious war campaign.
It's nice to see a blow to Activision. Nevertheless, it's their fault that MW2 lacked the core PC-centric features that caused the uprising and boycott bull**** we saw in september.
EA is just as bad, if not worse than Activision. I say this from experience - Westwood, Bioware and Origin....kdawg88I think you mean Pandemic... not bioware... last i saw Bioware is still thriving.
And Westwood didn't exactly go under.. the studio was closed yes, but the majority of the staff moved on to form EA LA.
At first I thought they were going to join the Medal of Honor team, guess I was wrong.alexlmtThat would have been a good idea. Don't get me wrong, most of those guys at Infinity Ward have a lot of talent. If they joined the Medal of Honor team, it would be a kickass game.
They haven't "Joined" EA, EA is simply funding their new studio as part of their EA Partners program. They are an independent development studio that will have their games published by EA, but EA will have no claims to the IP of the games or any influence on the structuring of the studio. kieranb2000When a publisher has exclusive rights to your titles, they own you plain and simple. They control your budget, they determine what gets developed, they determine who runs the show. If they don't play by EA's rules they sue them for all the financing they gave them as well as additional "damages".
