Can be on PSX, PS2 or PC. I'm trying to find memorable, complex, deep, story engaging games to play that will remain in my heart until I die like Xenogears, Suikoden II, FFVIII and so on. On the PC I really enjoyed Crysis 1 and Batman Arkham Asylum. Any other AAA+ single player exceptional game that can compete with any of the games I mentioned above?Kopogero
Planescape Torment is the equivalent of Xenogears, on the PC, in terms of complexity, depth and how memorable everything is. I consider these two games to be the definite height of role playing games, that no game has ever surpassed.
I also love Xenogears, i high recommend Planescape Torment.
Half Life 1,2, episode 1, episode2.I found half life 1 very engaging, because there is just something about taking on a bunch of aliens, marines, and black ops all by yourself while trying to move through the black mesa facility to stop the problem. From part 2 and beyond the story is more detailed but nothing beats the original half life.

if you like that kind of games you should try dragon quest, specially viii for ps2, i loved that game, almost as much as xenogears, suikoden or ff
stalker: shadows of chyrnoble and call of pripyat
warhammer 40k: dawn of war 2 + chaos rising (retribution is nice but not worth the investment outside of mp)
Okami on ps2 was pretty good and VERY fun

i have tried to get into stalker but i cant seem to, is it really worth it?
[QUOTE="Am_Confucius"]And boss fights. Ah yes. The End was fantastic, and every boss felt unique. (The Boss was a bit frustrating at first, though)Deus ex. It's a masterpiece.
MGS3 has the best story that I have ever seen.
