So the game seems to be getting a lot of negativty on here and I just wanted to share I got it this morning and I've been completly hooked ! I've found it way easier to get into than Day Z and before playing I was worried Zombies would be too easy to kill but I've very often be attacked by many of them at once! making it actually a rarer hard game.

The player base it made of the shoot on sight people and the friendly people and so far its been half and half I've played with some really cool people which has made the game so much better its deffo a team game.

It's horrible, it's very dull and lifeless and the world feels so empty. Zombies have evry bad AI and are extremely easy to kill, you find loot far too easily and it's nothing but the same masks over and over. Other players kill on sight and the visuals aren't too hot first hand.

Overall it's not even close to being as good as they marketed it and DayZ sh!ts all over it. Thank God I only used a guest pass and not my money

I honestly doubt it's going to change a whole lot. That's the excuse everyone keeps falling back on but wait until it releases proper I guarantee it will be only slightly improved.

The overall design of the game just isn't there.

^Well I thought it was going to be like that at first but after putting many hours into it the game feels better than day z and its only alpha and the loot thing tells me you really have played the game much I've spend long amounts of time looking for just a hammer or something to defend myself. Maybe you played the game a few patches back? it really does not have some of the problems your are mentioning.

if you've played war inc you'd know that warz wont change much between alpha and release... Theres a reason they're selling it now under alpha.

Meh, Have some faith. I think its a great start. The zombie AI will improve, and seeing as how its going the "Minecraft" way of updating, I think itll only get better. Besides, I've spent $30 on far worse games. And as for the player base: Foor every dBAg whos killed me on sight when all I had was a flashlight, I've had a guy with the same gear as me see me, and we announce that we are friends, and stick to a group. Also, has DayZ fixed the zombies glitching through the floor yet?

Played the game Nov. 1st and when I started I entered a store after 5 mins of play and found a hammer and started bashing zombies in with 0 hassle. Then after another 10 minutes I had a tonne of crap I would never use and I found a gun. I had enough bandages to fill a hospital meaning zombies weren't a threat . I just didn't feel like I was "surviving" I felt like I was just hoarding loot.

The only way I could see this being better than DayZ for people is if they want a more accessible and easy to pick up and play experience. DayZ is clunky in places and requires a lot more tact than WarZ so if you're into that more streamlined approach then that's fine. but as far as Zombie Survival games go DayZ has it beat.

I haven't seen a glicthed zombie in it in a long time but that doesn't mean it's fixed I guess. They kinda stopped implementing proper changes into DayZ now anyway and are fixing the standalone so it's not right to judge it now as it doesn't get as much support as it did before.

Standalone will fix a huge amount of issues I hope. One thing WarZ does better is the system to pick up gear alright. Just being able to hold E is much easier than DayZ's clunky ass interface

They said it will be out before Christmas. his words were "It won't be "we think it will be out by Christmas" it HAS to be out by then"

It will be interesting to see them compare in their final states. DayZ is also still only alpha

Terrible game, feels like War Inc with zombies tossed in.
The only thing it does better than DAYZ is picking items up/inventory.

As Sean said it feels lifeless, dull and the 3 main things for me is the atmosphere sucks, it has a very low fun factor for me and the gunplay is not satisfying at all.

As of right now it feels like a very casual, easyier version of dayz, except it does 90% of the things much worse than dayz imo.

I owed my friend 40$ so he wanted me to get him War Z, so ive bene playign a buch with him, but its starting to feel now like I am forcing myself to play. Just with the idea that "it might get better" or "it might start to click soon". Its just a very poor attempt at a dayz type game.

This honestly feels like the BIG RIGS of this genre, extremely dull and average. I want the game to be good but nothing besides the inventory/pickup system has impressed me, in fact everything else was very dissapointing. Really hopign things improve but its not looking good at all right now, atleast for what I want in a game like this. For others it might be just there style, but its just not for me after about 25-30 hours with it. If I am not having fun in a game like this then whats the point? Dayz I have played for clsoe to 300 hours alreayd, this borign after 25-30 hours.

I really wanted this game to do well and turn out well but this just feels extremely average to below average. A few good ideas but horrid execution, especially in the details, things like atmosphere, level design and how the guns feel.

The game is a bunch of fun. They have already fixed many of the problems and hackers are already being banned. The game still has it's issues now, but it is alpha and by the time it is finished it will be pretty darn good.
