I'm trying to transfer a 10GB video file from my Dell XP laptop to a FAT32 HDD and windows is telling me: "error copying file or folder" because there is insufficient memory on the disk.  I've got over 150GB available.  Anyone know what's going on?

If your video is greater than 4 gigs you will need to split it fat only takes filse up to 4 gigs.

Exactly. The best bet is to move those files off of the external HDD, and reformat it to NTFS. That way, it will hold all sized files.

True but fat is faster, when you can do is, get winrar, and split your file up.
