this is what peter said:

"I'm not sure I even call Fable an RPG anymore," he said at X10 last night. "Certainly not a 1990s RPG, for sure.

"In a way, you could look at it and say it's like an action adventure. There's a lot of drama, there a lot of story, there's a lot of emotion in there - but with levelling up. I love that levelling up.

"I'm not the sort of person that likes being given a pre-planned character and told "this is you no matter what".

So every sanehuman being will understand that he said, this is not an RPG but you can LVL up your charcter and play as an RPG right?

so the point is? you can LEVEL up? in other interviews he said you cant level up, now he said you can lvl up?

is it me or this person is....

Leveling up doesn't make a game an RPG

He never said you won't level up... X10 was the first time he talked in depth about the game.

Actually...Well when i think of an RPG several things come to mind. First one is character creation, and character customization. Then comes levelling and experience.

Yes but leveling up is not restricted to RPG games. I level up with experience in Dirt 2, Call of Duty, Halo 3, etc

It's not an RPG, move on and come to terms with this fact. Accept that he is finally turning what has been so far a mediocre RPG series into what could possibly be a good Action-Adventure series.

Except it probably won't be an Action-Adventure game because you can't take anything he says as truth. When he says it won't be an RPG then what I hear is it will most likely be. If it isn't then it won't be far from an RPG. Remeber this is the guy that said you would gain emotional ties to your dog in Fable 2 and that Fable (1) would reinvent the RPG. What came from that was a dog that I would rather have die because he was annoying and useless and an RPG that was 4 hours long that did as much to reinvent the RPG as Bungie has done to get past making the exact same game about 4 times in a row. Just saying you really can't trust anything he says because it probably won't be true.

This

Not to mention over-rated, with an exaggerated sense of self-importance.

He hasn't delivered what he's promised, on anything - ever.

It's an RPG for kids. Fable 2 is so freaking easy, he should have made it for the Wii. I really don't get Fable hype.

You don't level up in those games, you rank up. Character progression is what makes it an RPG.

Peter Molyneux is wierdtopic name
And this surprises you how, exactly...? The man's a nutcase. His ideas are genius, which only proves the old saying that genius is next to madness. He just happens to have crossed the line already. I think it was somewhere around Black & White 2...
