Recently i have been having issues with my ATI Radeon 4870 x2 display adapter. I am having problems updating it, since sometimes it will update and make it worse, and other times i will update it and it will fix the issue. Yet now it is still messed up....After awhile of playing a game, sometimes only 2 min, it will crash, flicker, and shut down to power save mode...it only happens with games and my computer is made for gaming, so its not like my specs can't handle it...PLEASE HELP i've gone cold turkey for a month now :?

Thanks for any advice

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers and cleaning out the drivers in safe mode then reinstalling?

1.Download "driver sweeper" from guru3d.com

2. uninstall your catalyst control drivers through control panel--->programs--->uninstall a program

3. reboot in safe mode [default f8 key on boot up]

4. run driver sweeper then reboot

5. install fresh drivers

Yes, install the latest version of both Driver Sweeper and your drivers.
