fake bf3 alpha email?

it looks legit and it is word for word, image for image, absolutely identical to the others i've seen. it even sends me to the legit bf3 alpha site.

the problem is, i'm not meeting the criteria for alpha still. the EA rep i spoke with said that it might have been a fake email, but im more willing to think that this is entirely EA's fault by sending me an email when they didn't mean to. has this happened to anyone?

Your e-mail is probably legit. I got the not meeting criteria error when I tried to register for the alpha directly on the website, but not when I applied for the alpha code after receiving the e-mail. Try contacting the rep again.

It should be. They're giving out random Alpha codes to players of BC2 according to one of the tech's at my buddys shop. He was playing the Alpha in the back, when I asked him, he told me he he got the email and as far as he could tell it's just random. There should be more posts about it soon I'm sure.
