So I have a 5.1 logitechx540 and when I'm in the game I get no NPC audio and it is really really annoying. Within the Fallout 3 settings in game it doesn't let me chose 5.1 or 2.1. Any help would be appreciated.

Bump.

I'm on the right tab in the realtek sound manager (5.1) Headphones work fine and I have the latest drivers. I'm using the on board audio from my EVGA 790i Ultra.

If you use the "Matrix" button, you won't get voice.

I don't think Fallout 3 supports surround.

Yay I think we have the same kind of a problem. First everything was fine but after few hours of playing I couldnt hear the npc's dialogue voice anymore. Neither could I hear the audio notes sound in pipboy. I can still hear other sounds and the npc's talking to each other. Sound card - Realtek AC97 Audio
