I have a problem with Fallout 3. Everytime I start it, it will play for about 30 seconds then freeze, leaving me to CTRL+ALT+DELETE my way out of it. I have an HP Pavillion G6 with Windows 7, 4gb RAM and 500gb HDD. I have tried various fixes which are: Getting the d3d9.dll file and putting it in the game files Running in Admin mode Using Compatibility mode and Playing in windowed mode All to no avail. Also, the DLCS will crash the game when i enable them, possible fix with that too?

Is this your laptop?

If so, you won't be playing Fallout 3 on that thing. GPU isn't supported.

Yeah, it's a laptop. Also i have a vista version that crashes as soon as i press new game. After i put in the dll file for it, it worked a little bit then crashed. Then i tried doing compatibility and when i went to start it it said it was missing files when i just installed it.

I've heard about FO3 not running well on Windows 7..My friend has W7 & his copy kept crashing as well.

Not sure if any solution has been put out or the right workaround, runs fine on my Vista (GOTY edition too)

Wait, the laptop doesn't have a dedicated GPU. Why are you trying to game on it? Lol.

You really should forget about running Fallout on those laptops.

As I said before, your laptop's integrated GPU is not supported by the game. It will not work.

Be a little more specific about the specs of your laptop. There's a lot of different G6 laptops.
