Fallout 3 GOTY vs. Fallout New Vegas (poll)

Just was wandering to know opinion from gamers of you who played both games, cons and pros and the difference between them?

NV...I'm enjoying the atmosphere and the setting better

I loved both games to death but new vegas is better but i havent tried the dlc for fallout 3.just get both if u can:)

I'm liking New Vegas more so far, the pacing is better, the dialogue is leagues better, quest design is improved and I prefer the story. I also prefer the world layout, in Fallout 1/2 you could see the agriculture, how the world worked and how people survived in a apocalyptic scenario, for example you could see which towns farmed for food, which towns mined, which towns had access to clean water, and from that you could see which towns would trade with which and so forth. I felt that aspect of the game was missing in Fallout 3 while it's present in New Vegas, albeit on a smaller scale. Lots of small stuff make me feel more at home in New Vegas than Fallout 3. As I said before, I'm liking New Vegas as a Fallout game and not just a current gen RPG, which is more than I can say about Fallout 3.

Still waiting for my copy of NV to arrive in the post (im in the UK). Still my TV is broken and wont be fixed for another 7 days :cry:

Oh well, might get hold of a copy to play on the PC in the mean time, cant wait!

I'm surprised that Fallout 3 is winning the poll, yet everyone who's posting is saying that New Vegas is better.

I agree with the others in this thread though - New Vegas definitely feels more like the first two games, and the writing, quest design, gameplay, characters, environments...they're all better in NV.

I'd say F3 Goty + 10-20 good mods is the way to go. Though i only say that because New Vegas was just released and it'll be a while before I dare to try it. Mostly because of the pricetag. Both are good though.Karl319

im enjoying new vegas more than fo3

honestly to me it seems it is less consolized, with more depth than fo3...alsoive had less bugs and a better time with it than fo3

Though it has some serious performance issues, the gameplay of NV is better (being able to look down iron sights, the modding, the ammo types, the new inventions system, etc...). I only have 17 hours in it and haven't used any mods yet, so I can't say for sure.
