Fallout 3 is basically a better oblivion with guns and in a post-apocalyptic setting. I would definitely prefer Fallout, but it all goes down to how you like the world. Apart from that, they look very similar, even using the same engine and having the same issues(animation...). But Fallout corrected many mistakes made by Oblivion. The radiant AI is not irritating anymore, the quests have become a real side-stoyline kinda thing. So Fallout 3.
Both are pretty much the same game in different settings.Both games are pretty bland and get tedious, but i think you should get Fallout 3 since now the mod base has grown quite large.Obscuros oblivion overhaul makes oblivion more enjoyable...whichever game you buy get mods for it.
When i make my first billion selling custom printed tshirts im getting troika up and running again.We should setup a donation webpage for them,masquerade bloodlines is getting more attention now and shows what they can do..yeah get that,much more enjoyable than fallout 3 or oblivion.
As an old fan of the elders scrolls series and fallout series...GET BOTH! Actually these types of games really are hate it or like it sort of things so I suggest you rent them first to see if you like the style ofgameplay and then decide...if you like guns and great scenes, a game of randomness and fun get Fallout 3...if you like great design and an excellent game thats slightly dated, and focuses more on swords, axes and magic type thing get oblivion. And just so you know Oblivion doesn't have much gore, while fallout 3 is packed with it...so if you like games with blood go for Fallout 3.
I preferred Fallout 3 a lot better. The leveling up system is better in my opinion and there are plenty of differences that you don't even recognize the differences after some time. Go with Fallout 3, it's new and more patches and updates will come than oblivion.
At the current time and what with Fallout 3 still being patched by bethesda i'd say go with Oblivion and make sure it's the game of the year edition that has the knights of the nine and shivering isles already on the discs.
Fallout 3 funner but Oblivion is WAY longer, oblivion has like double the quest of fallout 3, but Fallout 3's quest are twice as fun as oblivions. Fallout 3 has better rpg elements like player choice and doing quest the way u want to do them. you can be evil or good, but in oblivion if u are bad u will never be allowed in a city because guards will nuke ur face off. Overall, Fallout 3 is the better game IMO
At first, I thought Oblivion was boring, and then Fallout 3 came and I found my savior, great game, one of the best in the past year, it's definitely better than Oblvion, but Oblivion can get better if you use cheats, it becomes quite fun...
Both. Oblivion is very fun and relaxing. Fallout is very fun and humorous. Oblivion is great for getting up at like 5am on a Saturday in the summer and sitting with your window open as the sun comes up and your exploring the world of Oblivion with the calming music and great scenery. Fallout is great to mess around with.
I had more fun with Oblivion with mods and also it has a lot more quest than Fallout and the ending of fallout is bad.i like environment of oblivion more than fallouts.
Oblivion will give you the choice to be a knight, squire, trader, etc. In a fantasy oriented setting. dropping you down among castles, goblins, unicorns, trolls, orges, bandits, and even demons. Fallout Will plop you down in Washington D.C. after a nuclear war, letting you wander a wasteland filled with cannibalistic raiders, irradiated humans known as ghouls, two headed cows, Robots and some really nasty Mutants.
cuz we are not talking about an FPS game its RPG and i only want to play one game not 2
What i wanted to say is: They're both great games and definitely worth the money. If its about money: Oblivion is a little older, so its not that high priced.
If its about fun and not money, you really should buy both.
