Im thinking about buying the fallout collection pack. I did some research and it seems alot of people are encountering bugs, sometimes game breaking. Of course this is common, but it seems this game has much more than the majority of games. Im not sure if i will buy it after hearing this. So, are the bugs THAT bad and frequent?

only serious bug i know is in fallout 2 (haven't played tactics though). it takes an extraordinary LONG time to load a saved game as you progress in the game. but there's a patch for that. the game does not include the patch, so you'll have to download it. i don't know of any other bugs that make the games unplayable though.

the only bugs i've ever experienced are a few game crashes and a bunch of crazy AI.

every time i played through the game, the friendly AI behaved in different ways. one play through Cidwas working fine and all of a sudden he'd run away ever time in combat. another time Marcus worked fine one fight but then the next he would unequip all weapons and just punch people. there were a few other things that happened.

on the net, it's either hailed as the greatest RPG of all time or a buggy mess. the truth lies somewhere in between.

somewhere inbetween, yes, but closer to the "greatest RPG of all time" side.

if not for bg2, the greatest. hence, second (fallout) and third (fallout 2) best rpg of all time.

I never noticed anything horrible in the bug department with this game.
