Fallout New Vegas Crashing

I have been playing Fallout: New Vegas for 40+ hours on a save file for a single character, and now the game just crashes if I try to load the saves! Making a new game works fine, as does loading the new game, but it doesn't work for this one character! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Wierd, never happened to me, no crashes in 30 hours (:

Are you using auto save or your own save file? I would reccomend in all rpgs to use your own save file or two and nto rely on auto save.

I've tried quicksave, autosave, and my own save file. None of them work.

Ah, fallout new vegas is quite buggy. This type of stuff is to be expected. I had the same thing. level 13 character, all saves corrupted.

Now, during those saves, what quest were you doing?

I was doing the quest in which you get a better brain for rex.

This exact same thing happened to me in fallout 3 where i was stuck in a bunker and i couldn't get out because the game kept on crashing. This is sort of a cheat but it might help you. press ~ on your keyboard and type movetoq. That will take you to your quest marker and hopefully take you away from what is making your game crash. Also, have you used any mods and then removed them but loaded the same save game?
