My best friend just bought me Fallout Trilogy for my birthday which was just a couple days ago. I can't install it on my regular computer cuz my cd drive is messed up, but dats something else i don't wanna get into rite now. I have an older computer, with an 800Mhz processor, but it still meets all da specs for da game. When i try 2 install it, it says da installation is successful. There is no icon on da desktop, but it still shows up on da Add or Remove Programs list. When i go into my computer and click on the cd drive to run it, it says i have 2 install it again. Any help is appreciated.

Check under the start menu to see if you can run the games from there. Or browse to where they were installed and run them from there. Maybe make shortcuts on your desktop yourself.

Try looking for the location where it was supposed to be installed (if you can remember). Just as an FYI - the first 2 fallout games were DOS based, so no icons would be installed - the 3rd (tactics) was for Windows, but for Windows 95/98 so it may not have installed the way more modern games do. Do a search on your drive for fallout.exe (or fallout*) and you should find it if the install completed properly. I bypassed that frustration and re-bought all 3 on GoG.com - much easier to install on more modern computers, plus no CD needed.
