Far Cry 2 GS ad

Anyone else see the ad on GS and shake their head?

One part says "Regularly priced...only if you preorder." Are you serious? So I need to pay more if I dont guarantee the publisher a sale? What kind of crap is this?

Im starting to become completely disillusioned with the games industry lately, with this BS and all of these aggressive anti-piracy measures. They are all very minor issues, Im well aware of that, but all of these baby steps are all heading in the same direction. The game consumer having less and less power at retail, and less and less rights with the actual purchase.

But I clicked it this time, and the PC version is 10 bucks less. So maybe its not subject to this. Im not holding my breath though.

This is for an exclusive Gamestop edition that includes 6 exclusive missions and a fold out map. No need to worry ;) Do they even have a PC version for this? I'm not sure, that's all I caught, but it's like getting a "collector's edition" for regular price.Nitrous2O

I agree with your point, though. The games industry is getting more and more focused on a narcisistic, corporate viewpoint of it being a privilege for us to play their games, instead of it being their privilege that we give them money for their work.
