No. That was for another game called Farcry 2 - they are separate titles! I think the other was from the same makers of "The Itcher" - a medieval assassin who must track down a plague causing people itch...

yea man, i beat you to it. it's probably a couple pages back though. anywho, i'm now really pumped for this game, i'm pretty sure it's going to be awsome in both SP and MP. step aside fallout 3, i'm pretty sure farcry 2 is going to consume all my spare time for a while after it comes out. with_teeth26

As I already explained sir, that was Farcry 2 you made a thread about, not Far Cry 2, - I don't know what score the other game got but given the reception of "The Itcher" I'm sure it was critically acclaimed. Sooo what did the ol' girl get?

Anyways I'm going to wait for a couple moe reviews before I buy, Ubisoft sucks with PC ports.

I never trust PC Gamer's reviews. For one thing, they have a lot of questionable review practices. It seems like they don't care about objectivity so much as they do getting site traffic from being the first ones to review something, and this is just another example of that. I mean, they already have a review of a MMORPG that just came out. That's pretty ridiculous to me.

Even more than that though, I think I just don't have the same tastes as most of their reviewers.

Yeah I know what you are saying and this is highly unusual that they have a review so soon.

Though some critics do get to review games well before they come out - like IGN and HL2: EP2!!

pre release reviews usually get great deals, we'll give you a review copy if you set up a set of advetising pages leading until release at a decent price, oh and we can cancel if you review it sub 80. Thanks.

I suspect it's so early beacause it's multiplat, psm, xbox magazines will be after the first. TOO BAD!

Holy crap procedural story telling.

This is the type of stuff that is concept tech.

Far Cry 2 seems to pull it off amazingly.

My hype meter just went through the roof, this could be one of the best games this year.

I can't trust PC Gamer after their catastrophic review of Crysis Warhead. Each and every paragraph in that review completely contradicts all other reviews and player opinions... except for the stupid Gamespy reviewer, which thinks one level forces you to sit on top of a train.Baranga

I have to admit though, the review is inconsistant.

It says glowing things, that amazes even me.... then rushes over the faults and states 'after two hours it didnt matter to me' ('thus it wont matter to you').

Thats one thing that never sits well for me.

Fobbing off faults.

Either way the game does seem extremely impressive.

Well, they said about Warhead it's extremely linear, along the lines of COD4. But it's not. There are a lot of WTF!!!!!!! moments and you are constantly told to hurry up "or else", but it maintains the freedom of the original.

They say it's uninspired, but there are *THINGS* happening that make War Of The Worlds seem like a Saturday morning cartoon.

They complain about the cutscenes. But the cutscenes are at least interesting, and there's a fantastic one towards the end, lauded in every other review.

They say Warhead "Doesn't exploit the nanosuit"... But the game is absolutely insane, if you don't know how to use your nanosuit you'll get your ass owned in 30 seconds.
