I am having a problem with validating my Far Cry 2 game. It is apparently required to play the game. I get a long number and in a second box I have to type in a "serial number". It is said to be at the back of the game's manuel. What I find is the "CD-Code". So I type it in and am given the message that the number is incorrect. There aren't any other numbers accept for the bar code (That doesn't work either). What do I do. I went to the "step by step" direction and they are a repeat of what I had tried before. I tried upper case, lower case, with and without the dashes, and the bar code. Did the automatically downloaded update screw things up? Is my game spireling into unrecognizes patch space???

Just before I came back to this post I thought of that......the zero instead of the letter O. I tried it and that was the problem. Wow. And all this time I thought it was Ubi that was stupid. Hmm. Thanks. You are right. I wish those who printed these codes would make clear what letter or number they mean. I was a little frustrated last night.

I wish they wouldn't use o's and 0's in validation keys. They always mess me up too.
