What's so special about it? NPCs helping you that is. If your allies are near you they'll help you, just like any other game. Don't be fooled by the phrase "unscripted."

it's not about NOT being scripted ... but actualy, acting LIKE there is no script
meaning : they give the NPCs so many different scripts to choose from that it's not always the same that is picked ... if a normal older game maybe had 5 scripts for NPCs standing-still (or doing their normal stuff) in far cry 2 there might be up to 20 ... who knows...

The event isn't scripted, but the AI is scripted to help you if you're within their detection range, and this has been around for like forever. It's nothing new, they just used the word "scripted' that is often associated with an event to describe a common behavior.

Yeah what is going on here? I don't even understand what you're trying to say.
Personally, it sounds fun. I know the part about getting saved by Marty isn't that new but if the whole game is as open as they say it is it should be a very fun and unique experience. Because the plot isn't super complicated (maybe the backstory is) then it should allow for a different take every play through. It would be fun to start a new game and just kill everyone you see for a change of pace.
unscriptedis basically meaning that the npcs have far more choices and reasoning to do on their own on the fly... and unscripted means that if they choose to do something, it may not happen! they may try and fail!
scripted..is like in call of duty one, you reach this one point in the mission, pass that little invisible line, and the scripted guys come out of their same exact spot and try to kill you the same way every time you replay that mission
unscripted changes that..... the guy could trip! the code will be written to make the action possible, but it may or may not happen given the random choice, or reasoning choices the npcs make

there's no such a game that doesn't have script - if it was it would be the ultimate game
