Far Cry 3 Confirmed

I loved FarCry (although the Trigent thing was a bit over done)....but have to say I'm not as jacked for FarCry 2 as I was for the original....I'll just have to wait and see. As for FC 3, that's getting ToFar *no pun* ahead for me.

Actually if ubisoft thinks that a game with jungle island is less exciting nowadays.. then that's because they've created too many ridiculous titles under the name of Far Cry which was first developed by Crytek themselves.

FC with supapowahs is in no way more exciting than the non-linear, open-ended gameplay of FC2. Crysis is barely an evolution of FC (and even worse in a few ways), FC2 looks to be so much more.

To some degree, yes they are. But in many ways, I think they really are building up on what FC was attempting to do. FC was never about the story, it was all about non-linear gameplay set in huge environments with multiple ways to reach your objectives. And FC2 definitely has that (and I'd imagine so will FC3).

I believe he did not mean 'Better' in terms of graphics....I think he was referring to 'Looking Better' as in the actual gameplay, story...etc, as comparied to Crysis.

according to GFW Radio and 1up, FarCry 2 looks gorgeous, but nothing in comparison to Crysis, end of story.

FarCry3 confirmed already? wow they are either super confident of FarCry2 not flopping or they really haven't wasted time and have secretly begun work on FarCry3....

Farcry 2 should be running off the same engine and made by the same people. It will most likely look very similar, but polished up a bit, since it is coming out 1 year later...Amigro

Ubisoft is very efficient. Far Cry 2 and 3 are in good hands. :)

Im looking forward to Far Cry 2 and if it delivers (which it looks like it will) im more than happy for a sequel.

I'd like the game to set place in an ocean floor base which is surrounded by a vortex. I would love throwing enemies out of windows :D.

Well, in the article it said that Ubi is looking at perhaps doing Africa again, but the guy even mentioned that they are interested in Antarctica and would like to see if that would be a viable setting.

Yes! My every hope and prayer has been answered! I haven't played the second yet but that doesn't matter to me! I'm preordering it right now! Thank you ubi soft for pumping out another game for me to enjoy. I don't think I could even enjoy FC2 without knowing in my heart its not the end.

I was having sleeping issues before this announcement but I think I'll be fine after this know that in 2 years FC3 will be out! Yes!
