Far Cry - The Original 1.25 on Steam

Seriously, anyone who hasn't played this game should go and buy it immediately for that price. One of my favourite FPS, far superior to it's sequel.

Also would have put a UK pound sign in the title but for some reason GS doesn't allow it.

My brother gave me his hard copy a while ago, but I couldn't really get into it. It may sound noobish, but I kind of hated the autosave system, as a lot of times enemies were placed in cheap positions so that you'd die pretty much guaranteed in certain areas if you were playing it for the first time. Pretty interesting game nonetheless, but I guess it's just one of those games you have to have played back when it came out in order to fully appreciate it.

I don't know what the price for FarCry 2 is, but someone would havwe to pay me to play that again. What a waste of money. Ubisoft needs to patch it, because it was released without any fun included.

I was about to ask if Far Cry 2 was worth $5. I'm gonna buy the original, but does anyone else have thoughts about Far Cry 2?

Far Cry 2 was a solid game, but boring.

picked up both games for £3.74, absolute steal considering i haven't played either yet. :)

Far Cry 2 had the right idea, but some very weird design choices kept it form fulfilling its potential. The resetting cells and the poorly designed map were the biggest issues, and the fact that you practically spend the entire game doing the same thing doesn't really help either. Still, the game has some good gunplay, looks fantastic and has a decent amount of content. I'd say it's definitely worth $5.

Great game and definitely worth that price, although I've not finished it myself yet.
