BF2 will give you more value and play-time. Once you beat Far Cry, it's like, "Been there, done that, lets play online, oh, 5 servers, no one's playing though" experience. I say get BF2, then later on, pick up Far Cry.HavocEbonlore
I remember they use to have a free download for Far Cry, is that still available?

No, it's been over for quite some time now I believe.BF 2 if you're gonna play online! Amazing and lots of available servers!
This one is far from dead yet.!
You can breeze through far Cry in a few hours and that will be the end of it. Don't expect to play the multi-player because it is dead and buried. You can get the game for $5.00 though.
I would highly recommend Battlefield 2 or even 2142. Both have similar requirements. It's a game you can play for years.
Battlefield 2 is more tactical and far cry is just plain FPS action adventuer..I would suggest u to go ahead with Far Cryk_ozz
Yeah, so you should.
I have both, and it all depends on whether you are more into singleplayer or multiplayer. Farcry is a great single-player experience, but the replayability is very low. Battlefield2 is a solid (and more recent) game and going strong in multiplayer, singleplayer is practically non-existent.
I'd say BF2 because it will last longer, much longer (not to say Farcry is short or anything). But both are excellent,
Haha I got BF2 and there was only 1 server available to play because i had an older version apparently. Then i got the 1.41 patch and the game became laggy and it would crash every 4 minutes. I dont know what to do because my friend didnt have problems like this.

No, it's been over for quite some time now I believe. You don't want the free version anyways. McDonalds + FarCry = Headache. Every time you die you have to watch a 30sec video, which is the same VIDEO EVERY FREAKING TIME! I uninstalled it =) Never found out how it ended.
